About Our Puppies:
Our puppies come from the highest quality USDA licensed and inspected breeders that are dedicated to the health, temperament and well being of the puppies.
Our facility is licensed and regularly inspected by Pinellas County, the USDA, American Kennel Club (AKC) and the Florida Department of Agriculture. We always achieve the best evaluations and compliments on our care of the animals.


It is only after a licensed veterinarian gives these puppies a clean bill of health and proper immunization that we can accept them into our Petland store. In fact, Petland puppies are checked by at least two and in most cases three different veterinarians before being offered to our customers. Once a puppy gets here, he is bathed, vaccinated, put on a nourishing diet of high quality food and he begins the important period in his life that we refer to as socialization, we begin teaching our puppies how to become pets.


Vaccination programs continue! Diets are closely monitored and hygiene is meticulously maintained. Our people are dog lovers! And because they are, they are constantly handling and playing with all the puppies in our store. When we place our puppies in a playpen, we are inviting every dog lover to pet and cuddle as much as they want. We realize that all this contributes to the puppy's socialization, and that every puppy's temperament is improved by it. We at Petland make the health and well-being of our pets our #1 priority.


All Petland puppies are health certified by a licensed veterinarian and go home with current vaccinations and a health warranty covering infectious diseases and hereditary or congenital disorders.


Our store veterinarian serves as each puppy's pediatrician and visits our store a minimum of once per week to thoroughly examine all of our puppies. Trained Petland kennel technicians check the health of our puppies every day. Weight, temperature and eating habits are monitored and records are kept. Any inconsistencies are noted and immediately reported to our consulting veterinarian who provides follow-up care. Our kennels are designed to be easily disassembled and are cleaned continuously each day.

The Value of a Petland Puppy
**All puppies are examined by a licensed, consulting veterinarian in store prior to sale. A record of the veterinarian's findings is maintained for each puppy. If applicable, a state health certificate is completed.
**All puppies and kittens are current on inoculations and de-wormings as prescribed by the consulting veterinarian.
**Customers receive a complimentary post sale veterinarian exam from the stores consulting veterinarian.
**Customers receive a two-part training DVD and free unlimited toll-free training and behavioral consultation from Dogstar Productions. Dogstar Productions is led by Brian Donovan, a nationally recognized dog trainer and staffed by certified dog trainers.
**Puppies are micro-chipped for lifetime identification in case they are lost or stolen.
**Pure breed puppies often have a pedigree with a family tree history.
**Trained Pet Counselors educate customers on pet choices and the care of their pet by exceeding the pet's four basic needs.
**Puppies go home with a two-part warranty. The first part is a 14-day warranty on the health of the puppy, and the second part is a one-year warranty against hereditary or congenital defects.
**All the above values are written out and placed in a professional resource kit that includes other values that are specific to a particular market.
